Here is a picture I created for advertising for “M”, a Tarot reader who lives and works on Toronto Island. I’m using a combination of media here, trying to avoid using black outline : inks for the background, gouache for the figure, used opaque for the clothing and watered down for the face and hands, to try to get as rich a variety of texture as possible. It has a kind of children’s-book-meets-medieval-illuminated-manuscript feel, no? Thanks, “M”, for the fun challenge!
