SOLD!

Got back from Los Angeles last night. I had a booth at the Tom of Finland Foundation Erotic Art Fair on Saturday and Sunday. I was feelin’ a little poorly on the trip so didn’t see as much of the city as I’d have liked this time. A definite highlight, however, was a visit to the Foundation, which is the house where Tom spent the last years of his life. Perched on a hilltop with incredible vistas of the city and on a street lined with magnificent palm trees, the spacious Arts and Crafts style building is filled with Tom and other’s art and books. A sort of a gay Mecca…

The Fair was a great  chance to make some new friends and catch up with a few old ones. I sold the original of this picture and two other watercolours, plus a bunch of books and sketches from my book “Maurice Vellekoop’s Pin-ups”.

I’d say it was a very successful trip! Thanks, Durk , Sharp and all the volunteers for a great time!
