To make cards for family and colleagues this season I bought a package of ultra-cheap coloured construction paper. The texture and smell took me waaaay back to the art rooms of yore and I managed to tap into some childish Christmassy-type feeling, messing around with paint and ink and coloured pencil.

I came up with several designs and tried them out in different colour ways. I think the snooty Maira Kalman-esque lady is my fave.
