British GQ

Last summer Warren Jackson, art director for British GQ, contacted us with some illustration work for the October 2010 issue. I couldn’t have been more thrilled, not having done anything in Britain probably since the 90s. The piece illustrates a new column on fashion by MP Ed Vaizey, shown on the runway flanked by fashion divinities Naomi Campbell and  Kate Moss.

This second drawing shows a row of well-known English designers applauding Mr. Vaizey, who, in turn applauds them in the article. Applause all round! What was new about this project was that Mr. Jackson had seen a line drawing on this very blog and wanted the same feeling in the illustrations. (Note to me : the website is working!)

Thanks Warren, and the powers that be at British GQ for a most delicious job!
