Here is a piece I did for LA Magazine which appeared in the January 2010 issue. The article looked at a trend amongst Hollywood A-listers of hosting gatherings in honour of  worthy causes or people. The events are often a mix of philanthropy and self-promotion for the hosts, who raise money and awareness for some great causes and get their good names in the press at the same time.
