These illustrations were commissioned by the Boston Globe in late December for a cover story on ployamory that ran in early 2010.Â
The whole job was very straightforward, basically a group of full-figure characters for a sort of diagram showing who was zooming who in and ouside of committed relationships. All went very smoothly and the powers that be approved my sketches with a couple of minor tweaks.
I shuffled a couple of the pairings, or, ahem, triplings for this post just to be mischievous!
I’m so digging scanning things on my own new scanner. They should probably be photo-shopped up a bit but I love how you can see the ripple and grain of the watercolour paper. Thank you, Boston Globe for a delicious project!
